When Action Fiction came to Vala Marketing with their latest crowdfunding project, Monsters of Murka, they already had a track record of running crowdfunding campaigns, with their previous biggest hitting around $80,000. For this launch, they wanted to push further and see just how far the community could grow. Together, we built a campaign that not only outperformed their past efforts, but became their most successful crowdfunding project ever, closing at $269,000.
Crowdfunding with Vala Marketing, in Action Fiction's Own Words...
Action Fiction had already worked with several agencies and run four campaigns before coming to Vala Marketing for Monsters of Murka. As they put it:
“All of them making big promises, but failing to understand our product and, when push comes to shove, unwilling to pivot when we weren’t seeing the results we were expecting or hoping for. This is not the case for Vala.”

2,277 leads in prelaunch at $2.94 CPL
25.1% follower conversion
633 backers through ads at a ROAS of 4.17, earning $120,837.19
The campaign finished at $269,000. While Action Fiction fully credits Vala with helping them hit those numbers, we see it as a team effort. Action Fiction brought a strong product with a loyal community, and partners like BackerKit played a key role in supporting the campaign as well. Our part was running ad strategy and providing consulting to keep momentum high, but the success belongs to the collective effort. As they summed it up:
